Robbins Parking Service Ltd.(Robbins) is a wholly Canadian-owned company, thriving for over 60 years as a trusted name in the parking industry and Vancouver Island’s premier parking solutions provider. Robbins is the only Canadian-owned parking company operating on Vancouver Island, with over 120 employees and $4.8 million in annual payroll.

From our local offices in Victoria and Nanaimo, across Vancouver Island, Robbins manages #,###+ parking spaces across 150+ facilities, generating over $30 million in annual revenue. A testament to our dedication to excellence and integrity, we are proud to have earned many longstanding clients (some have been with us for more than four decades).

Being a socially responsible company and giving back to our communities is of utmost importance to all of us at Robbins. Company History

Where we started, and where we’re going.

1958

Robbins Parking Service was found in 1958 as a small, one-lot business– our first lot was on Broughton and Douglas.

Jack Robbins founded Robbins Parking in 1958 as a small one-lot business, managing a parking lot on Broughton and Douglas. Jack’s vision was not to be the biggest parking solutions provider, but the best. With this goal, applying a personalized and hands-on approach to every parking facility he managed, he saw success and expanded quickly..

1999

Paul T. Clough, our Chairman and CEO, bought Robbins in 1999. Paul guided this Vancouver Island company back to its roots, operating under the premise that no two lots are exactly the same and approaching each job with an open mind and a fresh eye. Adding to our unusual, tailored style of parking management is our many years of experience.

2004

We provide parking management services to over 210 parking facilities through our sister companies- Platinum Parking and Nortech.

2010

Our first license plate recognition (LPR) vehicle is introduced. Robbins was the first parking management company in Western Canada to operate LPR operations.

2021

We currently manage about 250 parking lots throughout Vancouver Island, as well as on—street parking in Sidney and Nanaimo and Langdale Ferry Terminal. We recently started parking and permit management for the District of Tofino.

Today

Today, Platinum Parking continues to expand across British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan — combining innovation with decades of on-the-ground experience.

Parking is hands-on, boots-on-the-ground work. Our senior management team cut their teeth in the industry and has deep knowledge of parking. Of course, we also hire from outside the industry, but our newer team members benefit from our senior management team’s vast experience and are imbued with valuable parking management fundamentals. Foremost, that means rolling up our sleeves, walking properties, and seeing firsthand how a parking facility is operating.

We truly love parking! For us, parking is an operations puzzle, and we thrive on tailoring solutions to each facility’s unique needs and challenges while balancing elements like customer service, technology integration, revenue maximization, enforcement, and collections protocols. Balancing all these elements, and so many more, requires deep understanding, experience, and passion.
